What Exactly Is Internal Strength? PT 2

Ever try to pickup a toddler when they just didn’t want to be picked up ?

Somehow they instinctively know how to drop in the opposite direction to resist being picked up, thereby making themselves feel like they weigh twice as much as they do.

What about a child that has a full blown temper tantrum?

They practically glue themselves to the floor, which is quite similar by the way, to what Greco Roman style wrestlers do to avoid being picked up, minus the temper tantrum of course.

Nature has it’s secrets, some of which we have instinctively when we are born, but gradually lose later like when we get to the ripe old age of about  ten or eleven years old.

Ever tried to clean a very young child’s nose or attempt to give them some medicine when they would have none of  it ?

It could be an in depth study in the principles of yielding and flowing. I know from first hand experience, I spilled a lot of medicine with my little guy, with his constant twisting and turning.

Most times it took two adults to do the job; because just like a fish out of water, he would use whole body power, rotating any and every part of his body that didn’t have a hand on it to keep him from moving. I remember it like it was yesterday…

” Get his legs”!,  “Grab his arms”!, “Hold his head!”

Thank goodness for the person that developed the syringe to squirt medicine down the hatch.

The depth of bio mechanical study that these ancient masters were able to undertake long before Western science even had a clue, unlocking principles of nature and movement thus establishing the principles of Tai Chi is nothing short of amazing.

From Wu-Chi, no movement we have Tai-Chi; it is within this exhaustive study of the principles of movement and power is where the treasure is . Of course there’s much more to internal strength than the power generation and sensitivity aspects.

The benefits of this journey go way beyond fighting due to the process of developing higher levels of self awareness to the serious students that have the patience; if that is… you are fortunate enough to find a teacher that can help you get there .

As an internal practitioner, how we harness  and subsequently refine the power from our center of gravity is a key component in generating whole body power as opposed to local power.

  • Its like you read my thoughts! You appear to know
so much about this, such as you wrote the e-book in it or something.

I feel that you just can do with a few p.c. to drive the message home a bit, however other than that, that
is magnificent blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be
